  2. Interesting that your voice doesn’t sound like the one in my head which, strangely enough, sounds something like me. Not really much into this band but then I am only faintly familiar with their stuff.

Catching My Morning Jacket live, on the first show of their European tour and first in the UK for something like a decade, was an absolutely joyous experience. Live albums and their reputation as a great live act built the expectations and they thoroughly delivered. A belter of a Z-heavy set that kicked off with ‘Gideon’ and circled favourites like ‘Anytime’ and ‘Holdin’ on to Black Metal’ as well as ‘Touch Me I’m Going to Scream Pt.2’ made it magical on many levels but chief amongst them was that it was a rare date night with my wife and it’s a song that has a lot of personal connections (If you’re interested I chatted to the wonderful Geoff Stephen about just that).
